What latency should I set on a 4G connection?
Start with conservative values and reduce gradually as connection stability is confirmed. Chasing the lowest latency on an unstable network usually increases the chance of freezes and quality loss.
Does SRT fix coverage problems?
No. The protocol helps compensate for momentary packet loss, but it does not replace a working connection. In areas without coverage or with extremely weak signal, the stream will still face limitations.
When does RTMP make more sense?
RTMP remains an excellent option when the gear used does not support SRT or when the stream happens on a stable network, such as a wired connection or reliable Wi-Fi.
Does SRT relay benefit YouTube and Twitch streams equally?
Yes. The relay acts before delivery to platforms, helping preserve the quality of the signal that reaches the cloud studio. From there, each platform processes the stream according to its own settings.
Do I need a public IP to use SRT?
